Ten years ago, it all started with an idea. There were no production facilities, no testing grounds, and no international recognition. But there was a small team of motivated engineers inspired by Anatoly Unitsky’s vision: the world of transportation could be transformed. At that time, the concept of the string rail system seemed too bold to many people, and the future seemed full of challenges. And so it was. But years of hard work and belief in success proved that even the most incredible ideas can be brought to life if supported by science, calculations, genuine passion, and a desire to make the world a better place.
This journey is not only about creating a new type of transportation but also about forming an entire industry. The path taken over these years is not just progress; it’s a true technological breakthrough. Today, UST Inc. is an international engineering company with the status of a scientific organization, with its own engineering, production, and research bases. Partnerships at the state level have been established, and operational transport complexes have been built. Over a decade, a full-fledged infrastructure has been created, making the practical implementation of uST possible. Most importantly, the technology has reached commercial realization and is ready for scaling.
A key milestone in the company’s development was the opening of the EcoTechnoPark in Maryina Gorka. Here, test tracks were laid, string rail transport was tested, and its effectiveness was demonstrated for the first time. The center developed technical solutions, improved designs, and tested uPods. EcoTechnoPark became the platform where projects and ideas, once only on paper, took real shape.
An important step was the creation of in-house production facilities and the establishment of an engineering center in Minsk. This allowed UST Inc. to develop and produce the main components of transport infrastructure complexes independently, without relying on external manufacturers. Currently, the company has over 60 design offices, and the total area of office and production facilities is about 20,000 m2.
UST Inc.’s development reached a global level when the second test center, uSky, was opened in Sharjah (UAE). This was a major event in the international recognition of the technology. Working in the Emirates demonstrated the capabilities of string rail transport in the climatic conditions of the Middle East and confirmed the reliability and efficiency of the technology globally. This opened up prospects for negotiations with business and government representatives worldwide.
Over the past 10 years, test centers with operational uST complexes have been built. Fifteen models of uPods have been developed, capable of reaching speeds comparable to those allowed on highways, and this figure continues to grow. The company launched its first project for commercial transportation— uLite. This complex successfully passed tests and demonstrated high efficiency under real conditions. Work is currently underway on several other targeted projects.
These achievements are the best proof that the key stages of technology implementation have been successfully completed. The company has not only brought the transport to the stage of real operation but also proved its viability. This has dispelled the main arguments of the most fervent skeptics, who claimed that the string rail complex could not be built or that the transport, if it did move, would be slow. And the main thing they asserted—that it would be impossible to bring the technology to the market—has been disproved. However, the facts speak otherwise.
uST technologies have gained international recognition. The company collaborates with government and business representatives in the UAE, Belarus, Russia, India, China, the USA, and Indonesia. UST Inc. cooperates with organizations such as the Association of BRICS Plus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, ITS Indonesia, iSky Transport Systems Pvt. Ltd. and Asia Mobiliti, the international certification organization TUV SW, and many others.
uST developments are promoted by marketing representatives in the UAE, the USA, Russia, and Indonesia. The company holds hundreds of confirmed patents for inventions, industrial designs, and trademarks in dozens of countries.
Over the past 10 years, UST Inc. has evolved from a startup with bold ideas to an international company with testing centers, production and engineering bases, and an implemented technology. Now, a new stage is beginning—the scaling of transport complexes. In this direction, the company collaborates with government and business representatives, conducts negotiations, and, in some cases, has already started work on implementing targeted projects.
It all began with an idea, drawings, and engineering calculations. Now, what once seemed impossible to some has become a reality. Ten years ago, UST Inc. took the first step toward creating a new generation of transportation. And today, this goal is closer than ever.
