SkyWay. The Third Award “Golden Chariot”

SkyWay. The Third Award “Golden Chariot”

26 Junе 2017

The solemn awarding ceremony of the “Golden Chariot” International Prize took place in Prague at the Hotel Ambassador Zlata Husa. The award was repeatedly given to the design and engineering company on the development of the SkyWay string transport. Meanwhile, the Yunitskiy’s innovation already received the honorary award in 2009 and 2011. This time, the prize was received in the nomination “Most Innovative Ecological Project of Transport Industry”. This year, only two “big” chariots were presented, the second one was received by the President of the Czech Republic.

The awarding ceremony became one of the highlights of the international financial and economic forum of CIS and Europe “Prague Business Meetings” held in the Czech Republic. The discussion of new formats for economic cooperation in the conditions of the existing geopolitical circumstances was at the focus of the event. Representative of the Presidential Administration of the Czech Republic Petr Pirunčík, temporary charge d'affaires of the Russian Federation in the Czech Republic Feodosiy Vladyshevsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Czech Republic Valery Kurdyukov, as well as representatives of the academic and engineering communities delivered their speeches at the forum.

The opinion of the latter was especially important for awarding prizes and diplomas. Those who have been following the string transport project for a long time cannot but notice the signature of Boris Lyovin, Rector of the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering, put on the diploma. This is the same university that some time ago (under the old name of MIIT) cast a doubt on the recommendations for the implementation of the STU project in Khabarovsk. The time has set the things right.

Let us remind you that Albert Zhukov, Chairman of the Award Organizing Committee, visited the SkyWay demonstration and certification centre shortly before the event. The visit aimed to get acquainted with the SkyWay achievements and to discuss the prospects of cooperation. In the interview taken during his visit to the EcoTechnoPark, Mr. Zhukov spoke about a 10-year old history of his acquaintance with the SkyWay string transport, shared his impressions of what he had seen and expressed his opinion on the future and the present of the global transport infrastructure.

Lasting for 12 years now, the “Golden Chariot” prize has become “a sort of a transport “Oscar” and unites the major transportation companies from many countries of the world.” The organizers regard the cooperation between the SkyWay and the “Golden Chariot” as a serious growth opportunity and benefit for both sides united by common goals – to change people’s lives for the better.
