On 29 May, SkyWay EcoTechnoPark was visited by representatives of SSAB steel company (Sweden), which supplies metal for the track structure of the Unitsky String Transport. We give the floor to the guests who told us about the purpose of their visit and the impressions of it.
Pavel Galaburda, Country Manager of SSAB Europe in the Republic of Belarus:
"We enjoy and appreciate our key customers, one of which is SkyWay Technologies Co. The purpose of our visit is to find the possible problems and demands for the supply of rolled metal. For sure, we wished to witness it. When it all started, there was skepticism, which is observed in the media even now. But the project does not leave anyone cold and it is evolving. Everything runs and looks great! We are focused on target products – special steels, therefore we are looking for the same interesting customers who implement unique projects together with us. I predict the expansion of the product range. In other words, we are strengthening cooperation in all directions, which is very pleasant. Naturally, we believe in its prospects and look forward to your successful commercial startup, when your transport can be seen in action. Start! And we are ready to support you".
Vadim Pikalov, Sales Director, SSAB Europe, Russia and CIS:
"I was very glad to visit this testing site. We started our contact with SkyWay Technologies Co., when it was still under design. Now there is an amazing result! This is a kind of advanced island in Belarus, where we observe interesting options for transportation of people and cargo in the future. Therefore, it is really impressive. We wish the Company good luck in further worldwide promotion of its technologies. One of the SSAB’s priorities is the production of high-quality and ecofriendly products. We are planning to abandon the use of coking coal by 2045, completely switch to hydrogen raw materials and, accordingly, to reduce the harmful emissions to zero. These plans have theoretical basis, and we have already started practical implementation of this project. As we know, SkyWay Technologies Co. also bases its activities on the green technologies. This idea unites and impresses us. Safety and sustainability are the basic priorities of a company intending to deliver high-quality products! For us, strategic consumers are whose who uses metal for high-tech products, so we would like to continue our cooperation with SkyWay. I believe that we have much in common. Several years ago there were some doubts about the feasibility of your project due to its global scale, but now we are glad that they have dispelled, and there is a certainty that it will be desirable and demanded. For sure, we are counting on certain dividends, but our dignity is our participation in the project, which will glorify all of us in the future!"
