The string transport moved passengers during rush hour conditions, and this test operation showed that the unmanned rolling stock is ready for high loads. The transport and infrastructure complex proved its effectiveness, and the rush hour above the ground turned out to be much more pleasant than its usual version on a regular road.
The purpose of testing was to demonstrate how the transport copes with extreme loads, because in real conditions a large crowd of people on the platform is excluded by an automated control system that coordinates the processes of boarding and disembarking passengers, adapting traffic intervals to passenger traffic so that rail electric vehicles are not overcrowded. To this end, a situation was created that was as close as possible to the real one, and dozens of people were invited to the Belarusian testing centre.
During the tests, a vehicle was used that could accommodate up to 48 passengers. People entered it simultaneously from two sides, so it took very little time to embark. The unibus continuously performed operations on boarding, transportation (about 1 km) and disembarkation of passengers. Such test operation proved the resistance of string transport to high loads.
