From June 8 to 10, Moscow and St. Petersburg hosted the 6th International Arctic Summit "The Arctic: Prospects, Innovations and Regional Development". The group of companies developing string technologies, which has taken part in this large-scale forum, proposes an integrated approach to the development and development of the Far North territories. The event was attended by General Designer Anatoli Unitsky.
The program of the event included round tables and presentations on the development of science and technology for Arctic exploration, energy efficiency of facilities, training, aspects of cultural heritage, the artificial environment of life in the Far North, better quality of life of the region’s population, the development of Arctic tourism, end-to-end digital technologies, digital economy, etc.
For the exploration and development of the Far North territories, the project has proposed an integrated approach for the first time: transport and infrastructure complexes of the second level, a chain of offshore ports for the delivery of goods, relic solar bioenergy, the "Arctic EcoHouse” residential complex, as well as light unmanned helicopter-type aircraft.
String transport and infrastructure complexes will be very effective in harsh Arctic conditions, because one of the advantages of the complex is resistance to extreme temperatures due to the pre-tensioning of the strings (from + 60 °С to – 60 °С). The construction of a light and at the same time strong string-rail overpass in areas with permafrost is a more affordable solution than the use of other transport alternatives, and the string track structure is characterized by increased reliability and a long service life.
