The design of the unicar allows to build up individual modules into a single train by means of a rigid coupling.

The number of articulated sections, as well as their capacity may vary depending on the intended passenger traffic. A special version of unicar U4-430 in a tropical design has been developed for regions with arid climate and an upper temperature limit of operation up to + 55oС inclusive. Each module of the unicar is equipped with seats from two to six.
