Work on New Tracks

19 May 2023

Dear colleagues, according to the developer of string technologies, the 6th and 7th lines are being designed in its Belarusian test and demonstration centre – transport and infrastructure solutions for heavy rolling stock weighing up to 60 tons. Now static and dynamic calculations are being carried out and the process of designing the main components and parts for future complexes is underway.

One of the latest developments of the company is a rigid heavy-duty string-rail overpass. The line is designed for testing and certification of string cargo transport. Its main feature is the ability to test heavy rolling stock weighing more than 50 tons. Due to the design of the track structure, rail EVs will be able to move at high speeds. In addition, with a significant reduction in material consumption, the track has a large bearing capacity, as well as high rigidity and evenness of the track. Now, 18 intermediate supports have been installed at the Centre. The length of the line will be 912 m.

A semi-flexible heavy-duty string-rail overpass will allow testing suspended rolling stock, as well as working out design solutions for the track structure. The design of the track is suitable for organizing the movement of heavy uPods weighing over 20 tons. The length of the line will be 720 m. The route will be distinguished by a large length of unsupported spans – more than 280 m. This will make it possible to overcome territories with more difficult terrain, as well as lay routes over infrastructure facilities.
