On April 10th, the ceremonial opening of the uTerra Middle East Agro Industries LLC. plant took place in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The plant is set to produce up to 1,000 tons of uTerra biofertilizers during its first year of operation.
The event gathered key representatives from uTerra Middle East Agro Industries LLC., UST Inc., government officials, business leaders, project partners, investors, and members of the media.
Anatoli Unitsky, the creator of the uTerra product, delivered an opening speech, highlighting the unique qualities of the biofertilizer. He described how uTerra contains a complete spectrum of nutrients and soil microorganisms essential for plant growth, enabling the rejuvenation of soil that closely resembles ancient, fertile earth.
By restoring the Earth’s degraded soil — exhausted from chemical fertilizers — we are making a profound impact. The uTerra product demonstrates to agricultural enterprises that it is possible to cultivate eco-friendly products that are not harmful to health. And we have such examples. The production of uTerra organic fertilizer and crumbly biohumus started in Belarus in 2023. Today, the industrial output of the product is more than 1000 tons per year. The uTerra fertility elixir increases yields up to 30-120 % on average, accelerates crop growth, enhances the taste and aroma of fruits, increases the content of vitamins, amino acids and minerals (macro-, micro-, ultramicroelements), protects plants and soil from diseases and pests, as well as enriches the soil with useful microorganisms and normalizes soil acidity. I am convinced that the new plant in the UAE will allow to produce even more uTerra organic fertilizer, thanks to which people will be able to grow healthy food
— stressed the World Engineer.
The plant building covers an area of 1,000 square meters. The production of organic fertilizers will take place in three stages. To this end, a bio-laboratory, a production workshop, and a filling, packaging, and distribution line with a capacity of 16 liters per minute have been created. The worm farm, with a capacity of 22 cubic meters, can process up to 2.5 tons of biohumus monthly. All equipment complies with ISO 9001 standards. Additionally, the plant includes anaerobic and aerobic reactors, extraction units, and storage tanks, collectively capable of producing up to 2,000 tons annually.
Nikita Ostapenko, General Director of uTerra Middle East Agro Industries LLC., stated that the production line’s test run was successful, and the company is now building a customer base both locally and internationally.
We aim to produce up to 1,000 tons of uTerra biofertilizer in our first year of operation. With 24/7 shifts, we could increase this to 2,000 tons annually. Initially, however, the plant will operate on a single-shift schedule
— Ostapenko explained.
Construction of the auxiliary facilities and laboratories began in May 2024 and was completed in just 10 months. During this time, the necessary infrastructure was built, production processes established, and documentation approved by local authorities.
As mentioned earlier, the UAE was chosen as the plant’s location for strategic reasons. Its proximity to major shipping routes allows for efficient global distribution, while the comparatively low energy costs within the Gulf Cooperation Council region provide uTerra Middle East Agro Industries LLC. a competitive edge in the fertilizer market.
