“Top officials from the Kingdom in the Sky visited uSky Test & Certification Centre
The royal couple – His Majesty King Letsie III with his wife Her Majesty Queen Masenate Mohato Bereng Seeiso, as well as members of the government of the Kingdom of Lesotho accompanying the monarchs, have paid a visit to uSky Test & Certification Centre as part of their visit to the EXPO 2020 Dubai world exhibition.
The highland Kingdom of Lesotho with its tourist slogan “Kingdom in the Sky” is one of those countries participating in the EXPO 2020 that presented its pavilion at the exhibition, within the walls of which, in addition to traditional household items and clothing, one can see unique jewellery items like large carat diamonds of the highest quality mined in the fabulous lands of unsurpassed nature.
It is the international exhibition that became the place of connection and dialogue between representatives of the royal house of Lesotho and Dr. Anatoli Unitsky, which was further followed by the reception of His Majesty King at uSky Test & Certification Centre.
Ending the meeting at the exhibition, Dr. Anatoli Unitsky presented His Majesty King Letsie III with his autobiographical book “The Engineer”, where the designer narrates about his work on the creation of string transport systems, the goals he aspired to achieve and the difficulties he had to face.
At uSky Test & Certification Centre, the royal delegation was delivered a presentation of uSky Transport & Infrastructure Technology, demonstrating the high potential of string-rail transport expressed in the use of an ultra-strong string system for transporting passenger and freight rolling stocks at speeds varying from 150 to 500 km/h. Moreover, high-ranking guests got familiar with such facts as significantly lower cost of this system compared to construction of conventional railways or asphalt roads, which is undoubtedly an excellent alternative to the above-mentioned anthropogenic pollutants that destroy nature.
His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen have witnessed a functioning tropical uCar, which is designed for urban and intercity commuting and has recently passed certification. The royal couple experienced their test ride having personally verified the safety and comfortability of this transport mode.
While being in the control room, His Majesty was offered to get familiar with software-hardware complex for supervisory control and data acquisition to independently start the rolling stock on the track. His Majesty King enthusiastically accepted the offer and after a brief induction and under the supervision of engineers, dispatched the high-speed uPod to the planned trip on his own. On his personal experience, His Majesty has made sure that the control system is easy to use and works properly and flawlessly.
Realizing the need to improve transport links in their region, His Majesty and the members of the government of Lesotho discussed with uSky Transport the possibility of using uSky technology both within the Kingdom and for connecting the capital of Lesotho, Maseru, with the city of Durban, located in the east of the Republic of South Africa.
His Majesty was very impressed by his visit to uSky Test & Certification Centre and expressed his desire to leave his inspiring feedback on uSky transport in the guestbook”.
