Working on a New Project

30 March 2023

The authorities of the Leningrad Region are interested in using the transport and infrastructure solutions offered by the developer of string technologies. One of the possible projects is the construction of an elevated string-rail overpass in the city of Murino and the village of Novoye Devyatkino. Proposals for the implementation of transport of the "second tier" have been presented to the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko.

“Leningrad region authorities together with their partners will prepare a pilot concession agreement on the construction of the line in one of the newly built districts. For that we will choose the route with high passenger flow and busy traffic,” said Alexander Drozdenko.

Representatives of the municipality are interested in string transport, which will help unload roads and reduce travel time. The company offers solutions that allow electric rail vehicles to move on a special overpass above the ground, avoiding accidents and traffic jams. At the same time, the elevated nature of the string-rail track makes it possible to lay the route along the optimal trajectory, which will reduce travel time and help redistribute passenger traffic.

According to Evgeny Petrov, Deputy General Director for Marketing of the development company: "uST Transport &Infrastructure Complexes is a safe, environmentally friendly, and more cost-effective development compared to conventional modes of transport. We are ready to provide a full range of design, production, and maintenance services regarding our product. We hope that we will be able to offer an effective solution to the transport requests of the residents of Leningrad Region”.
