How can the use of uST technology solve the problem of harmful emissions?

29 August 2024

According to the data of International Energy Agency, passenger transport accounts for about a quarter of global carbon dioxide emissions. However, the spread of clean energy technologies can reduce the severity of the problem. Unitsky String Technologies Inc. offers environmentally friendly transport links with zero air pollution.

According to the UK government's energy security and NetZero studies, the carbon footprint of different modes of transport emitted per person per kilometer of travel is as follows:

  • diesel cars – 246 g/1 km;
  • bus – 97 g/1 km;
  • electric car – 47 g/1 km;
  • hybrid car – 68 g/1 km.

Meanwhile, eco-friendly and safe uPods run on electricity. Moreover, such transport is more economical than, for example, traditional electric vehicles: uPods are characterized by high efficiency and do not take up space on the roads. Electric cars create congestion, which releases a large amount of toxic substances. uST transport moves high above the ground, eliminating the problem of traffic jams.

Conventional electric vehicles use pneumatic tires, which, when worn together with asphalt, emit soot, benzpyrene, phenols and other carcinogenic substances into the air (there are more than 100 of them). In turn, the production and disposal of worn tires lead to additional emissions of hazardous substances. In uST, this problem is solved by using steel wheels of a special design.

The string rail roads on which the uPods travel are pointwise based on the ground. The track structure does not disrupt the terrain, thus preserving the fertile soil, landscape and biodiversity of the surrounding areas. It is resistant to almost any weather conditions. In addition, at low temperatures, the use of de-icing salts, which negatively affect the environment, is not required.

Even when used in areas with high traffic intensity, uST transport and infrastructure complexes do not damage the ecosystem. Moreover, they can be built in regions with the most stringent environmental requirements. And the high energy efficiency of uST solutions is achieved due to the movement of uPods along the steel rails, the absence of a solid roadbed and a parasitic airfoil effect.
