Digest on the development of string technologies. Issue No. 14.

17 September 2021

Dear fellow-thinkers, we continue to share joyful events with you – our project remains one of the most discussed topics in the world. The real news hit was the long article "These futuristic pods could help cities solve their traffic problems" by one of the world's most respected media outlets, the CNN news service. It talks about the features and benefits of string technologies over standard transport systems, as well as their role in solving global transport problems. We have already reported about this publication, so just note that another article was written on its basis by the Brazilian news resource br.noticias.yahoo.com.

It is no less pleasant to know that string transport has become one of the hallmarks of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP). In the most recent video presentation of his organization, its CEO, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, focused on four main objectives:

1. Develop innovation ecosystem

2. Generate employment

3. Catalyse knowledge economy

4. Venture design and building

To achieve them, SRTIP management selected six largest industries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market.

SRTIP industries in focus and MENA market share:

1. Water technology / $ 4.3 billion

2. Production, design and architecture / $ 148 billion

3. Mobility, logistics and smart cities / $ 546 billion

4. Healthcare tech digitization / $ 21 billion

5. Renewable energy / $ 1.5 trillion.

6. Environmental technology and circular economy / $ 1.3 trillion

Needless to say, string technology has a significant place in both the objectives and industries that SRTIP focuses on, as reflected in this video:
