String Technologies Are Not Just Transport

String Technologies Are Not Just Transport

17 December 2021

Friends, we all know very well that string transport sets trends not only in the field of mechanical engineering or ecology. Read about it in the developer's Middle East branch’s article:

uSky Transport on the crest of global eco-architectural trends

Modern architecture is developing rapidly. Global economic and climatic processes are pushing architects and engineers to search for new solutions to architectural, structural and design issues. Society is evolving towards environmental commitments, trends in architecture are directed towards the technologies, using which people would conserve natural resources. EXPO 2020 Dubai attests to these endeavours, too, a true celebration of architectural diversity and cutting-edge architectural thought.

From the very beginning of its foundation, the world exhibition EXPO has turned into a parade of outstanding architecture with its pavilions having become the main exhibits.

Designed according to green buildings regulations, the UAE Pavilion in the shape of a flying falcon is the main attraction of EXPO 2020. The pavilion describes the UAE as a global centre, showcases Emirati culture and achievements, showing the desire of the country's leaders to create a peaceful and progressive society with ambitious plans for the future.

The net-zero energy Singapore Pavilion is a rainforest fed by a self-sustaining ecosystem. The pavilion showcases Singapore's desire to influence global warming and become one of the greenest places in the world. The peculiarity of the pavilion is that it has the potential for neat integration and coexistence of nature and architecture.

The Swiss Pavilion is filled with images of magnificent landscapes, innovative projects and ideas for sustainable future. Externally, the pavilion is a cube with a recess in the facade lined with a giant interactive mirror screen. The pavilion showcases Switzerland's strengths and capabilities in education, research, innovation and business.

The Austrian Pavilion encourages thoughtful and respectful use of natural resources, invoking people to be attentive to nature and seek new opportunities for energy. The truncated cone complex is made of clay and sand – these materials will not harm the environment and in the future they can be returned to nature.

The architecture of the German Pavilion, Campus Germany, represents the contemporary image of the country. The pavilion provides information on technical, industrial and cultural capabilities of the state and combines eco-friendliness and technological effectiveness. Steel membranes at the base and under the roof provide with proper natural light at different times of the day, thus saving energy.

The bold cantilever structure of the Saudi Arabia pavilion and the highly sophisticated audio-visual system integrated into the outer facades and floor make it a vibrant and memorable landmark. Through this integrated approach, the overall result is a form of functional, high-tech and sustainable architecture, merged with its content, dedicated to the topics of people, nature, heritage and opportunity.

On the example of the pavilions presented at EXPO 2020 Dubai, one can see that the processes taking place in the field of architecture and design are part of global trends associated with the rapid development of technology and the desire of people to preserve nature.

Being a progressive company, uSky Transport follows world-wide global trends, including active development of sustainable mode of transport and new infrastructure, i.e. unique solutions for mobility and eco-architecture holistically.

Architectural projects of stations constituting uSky Transport complexes are implemented using innovative uSky technology. The modular principle enables stations and terminals to be naturally fit into the surrounding landscape and, if need be, to expand the infrastructure, with no harm to the environment”.
