SkyWay Invited Minister of Transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov to EcoTechnoPark

The forum for the professional community of the transport sector “Intelligent transport system of Russia” is held on September 27-28. SkyWay project designing organization is also represented at the forum, and its display stand is quite popular. The Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov could not pass by it. Kiryl Badulin, Head of targeted projects Department at SkyWay, has briefly introduced the technology to him. In a private conversation, the Minister confirmed that he knows about the SkyWay transport. He was immediately invited to EcoTechnoPark to assess personally the achievements of operating models.
As reported by Kiryl Badulin, after attending a panel session on the implementation of digital solutions, the discourse on the development of the transport sector in Russia is very similar to the trends at InnoTrans. There is a growing emphasis on mobile apps and Internet things instead of an active introduction of fundamental innovations that would be able to change the transport industry as a whole. Superficial solutions continue to take up the central position, but this is not for long.
Active interest in technology is shown by representatives from Finland. String transport can be demanded in the city of Turku.
The basic goal of the forum is to sum up intermediate results for two years of joint work, as well as to define existing barriers to inter-sectoral and inter-agency cooperation for the sector’s development. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin spoke about the wide opportunities for using digital technologies in the transport sector at the session of the State Council Presidium on Friday.
