On September 25-26, 2019, the International forum and exhibition “Intelligent transport systems of Russia. Digital Age Transportation” was held in Moscow for the fourth time. This is a key platform in Russia for discussions, exchange of experience and consolidation of efforts, which brings together customers and suppliers of solutions in the field of digital technologies for transport.
Digital infrastructure of highways, integrated transport development of cities and municipalities, development of IT in logistics, infrastructure of communication networks, as well as monitoring of transport, passenger services, navigation and telematics were widely discussed at the event. The main subject of discussion at the forum was “Digitalization of transport in the context of a “smart” city and the national project “Safe and high-quality motor-roads”.
SkyWay Technologies Co. was represented by Evgeny Rodchenkov, Head of Intelligent Systems Department, Anton Elistratov, Head of Software Development Department and Marina Monchenko, Head of Targeted Projects Department. Her report was focused on platform services for a “smart” city of the future based on SkyWay technology:
“It is assumed that by 2023, it is the intelligent transport and logistics systems that will attract the largest investment among the five specified sectors of a “smart” city. At the same time, the global market for “smart” urban services will amount to more than $400 billion per year. The main innovation of a “smart” city in relation to transport is a radical change in the approach to the issue. Transport should be the solution to problems, but not their source. This viewpoint is the philosophy of our Company.
An important part of Smart City is the use of automatic control systems. As regards “smart transport”, it is primarily minimization of the human factor and full automation.
SkyWay project also does not stay on the sidelines of the trend towards automation: traffic control is carried out on the basis of sensor readings with the help of artificial intelligence.”
As a reminder, at the forum “Intelligent Transport Systems of Russia” in 2017, representatives of SkyWay Technologies Co. met with the Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov and provided comments to the journal “Mir dorog” (“World of roads”), which brought resonance to the event, taking into account the news on the liquidation of “VIM-Avia”.
