uSky Transport hosted a delegation of municipal officials from Senegal, including 20 acting mayors. The visit featured an on-site introduction to the technology, engineering demonstrations, and a test ride on the uCar system.

Engagement at mayoral level typically signals more than exploratory interest. These are the decision-makers shaping urban transport agendas, allocating municipal budgets, and defining access to land and infrastructure corridors — the level at which pilot projects and feasibility studies are usually initiated.

Senegal’s presence is also noteworthy. The country is often viewed as a relatively stable entry point into West Africa and a testing ground for solutions intended for broader regional deployment. Rapid urban growth and increasing pressure on existing transport systems continue to drive demand for scalable alternatives.
