The Indian scientific journal, ISAR Journal of Science and Technology, published an article by Anatoli Unitsky, the General Designer of Unitsky String Technologies Inc. In this article, he discussed how uST technologies could solve transportation problems in India.

In their research, the General Designer of UST Inc. and his co-authors have proposed four concepts for integrating the technology into India’s existing transportation system.
The first concept concerned the creation of a transport link at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, connecting two operating terminals that are located 3.5 kilometers apart.

In order to speed up the transfer of passengers and the movement of luggage between terminals, it is proposed to build a string rail overpass with the construction of passenger stations and their integration into the buildings of existing terminals. According to the calculations presented in the article, a single 8-seater uPod will be able to handle passenger traffic between terminals at a level of 1,500 people per day. This will reduce the average trip time to three minutes, compared to the current average of 15 minutes.

The second idea described in the article is the construction of a uST complex that will connect the Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport with the city of Srinagar and the Srinagar railway station. Thanks to this, passengers will be able to cover a distance of 9 km in less than 7 minutes. And if five uPods are used on the route, about 7,000 people can be transported per day.

Anatoly Unitsky’s third proposal relates to the megacity of Warangal, and proposes the creation of a 15-kilometer-long transport network that will connect the railway stations in the cities of Warangal and Kazipet, as well as the city of Hanamkonda. The network would have a capacity of up to 15,000 passengers traveling per hour in one direction, solving the problem of traffic congestion and reducing the number of accidents.

The fourth concept is the construction of the uST complex in the resort state of Goa. It will allow tourists to get from Manohar Airport and the railway station to hotels and resorts on the coast within 15 minutes.
