Dubaï a annoncé la construction d'un système de transport urbain SkyWay de 15 kilomètres

Son Altesse le Cheikh Mohammed ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-président et premier ministre des Émirats arabes Unis, le dirigeant de Dubaï a approuvé un ensemble de projets proposés par le ministère des transports du pays (RTA). Parmi les projets inclus il y a le système de transport urbain SkyWay, d'une longueur totale de 15 km avec 21 stations sur le trajet.

«Nous avons approuvé un ensemble de projets de développement visant à poursuivre le développement de Dubaï comme la meilleure ville dans le monde. Le projet SkyWay – le système de transit urbain de 15 km – transportera des passagers entre les gratte-ciel de Dubaï avec 21 stations», il est déclaré sur la page de Son Altesse sur Twitter.

Le service médiatique gouvernemental, Dubai Media Office a publié la visualisation du projet, en donnant l'explication suivante: «Skypods, ce sont des systèmes de transit suspendus qui relient des infrastructures aussi importantes que le centre financier international de Dubaï et le centre-ville. Le projet dans le cadre duquel on va construire 21 stations, permettra de transporter 8 400 passagers par heure dans chaque direction».

«Nous sommes heureux que le gouvernement de Dubaï ait choisi notre technologie comme outil pour le développement de la région. Ce n'est pas seulement un grand honneur, mais aussi une énorme responsabilité pour toute l'équipe de SkyWay. Nous devons justifier cette confiance offerte et démontrer pleinement que le transport à corde répond vraiment aux critères du transport de l'avenir», a commenté ces nouvelles le concepteur général de la société de développement de systèmes de transport innovants Anatoly Yunitsky.
