Dear investors, we are sharing with you the good news that has appeared on the official website of the project: the developer of string transport and “ITS Indonesia” (Intelligent Transport System Indonesia) signed an agreement under which work is underway to apply the technology in the capital of Indonesia.
The string track, about 8 km long, will be proposed in one of the districts of Jakarta. Compare: it takes about 25 minutes to overcome the planned route by car, about 50 minutes by bus, and string transport will take passengers in 3 minutes.
The President of “ITS Indonesia” William Sabandar has noted: “The collaboration of ITS Indonesia with Unitsky String Technologies Inc. will expand Indonesia’s ability to use advanced technologies in order to address transportation problems such as urban traffic jams and low mobility in suburban areas. For example, in Jakarta, where the population is about 11 million and high congestion is a regular problem, the uST Technology can be integrated with existing public transport modes”.
In addition, the construction of a string transport and infrastructure complex in Jakarta is the first step to improve the transport accessibility of the metropolis. The advantages of string technology will ensure faster, safer and more efficient transportation than road or rail transport. The string-rail route is easier to integrate into the infrastructure of the city, and its construction due to the design features and materials used is an economical solution: the cost of building one kilometre of such a route is approximately 4% of the cost of laying one kilometre of the subway.
A project supported by all of us will make getting around one of Jakarta's busy areas safe, fast and affordable. The role of public transport will increase, as a result of which there will be fewer cars on the roads. The capital of Indonesia is starting the path to the formation of a new urban environment, created for a comfortable neighbourhood of people and technology.
