SkyWay: Transport Solutions for Kyrgyzstan

15 September 2017

On September 14, 2017, SkyWay EcoTechnoPark was visited by a delegation from Kyrgyzstan consisting of the Chairman of the Presidium of the Business Council under the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Zhyrgalbek Sagynbaev and Executive Vice-President of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Shamil Boronchiev, who arrived in Minsk to participate in the 11th Assembly of the International Congress of Industrialists and entrepreneurs. The SkyWay project designing organization was represented by the specialists of the Targeted Projects Department under SkyWay Technologies Co. headed by Kiryl Badulin, as well as representatives from “BelTRANSNET”.

Comments from Kiryl Badulin:

“The distinguished guests attended EcoTechnoPark for the first time. During the visit they were able to learn about the basic types of transport/infrastructure complexes displayed at SkyWay testing and certification center, as well as about the roof greening technology developed by our organization. In addition, they have also visited the SkyWay technology Museum.

In the course of the meeting we were able to discuss the basic transport problems of Kyrgyzstan, where mountainous areas make up more than 80% of the territory. Great attention was paid to the prospects of developing certain regions of the Republic in the context of applying our technology. In particular, we discussed the possibility of creating a modern eco-friendly transport infrastructure in the area of Issyk-Kul Lake, which is surrounded by tourist and ski camps. Currently, transportation of tourists to these facilities poses great difficulties caused by the low quality of local roads and the total route distance.

Especially for our guests we have prepared a presentation of SkyWay technology and developed a number of specific solutions to the transport problems of the Kyrgyz Republic taking into account the terrain and climatic specifics of the region".

At the end of the visit, the sides agreed to continue discussions on the possibilities of implementing SkyWay transport technology on Kyrgyzstan’s territory. At the same time, the Kyrgyz officials will continue to discuss the SkyWay project with other interested partners in the region including potential investors.
