Hussain al Mahmoudi: “I think things are going very well. As we expected and planned with the management of your company”.

30 March 2020

Shortly before most of the UAE's population was transferred to remote work, we had been able to talk to the Chief Executive Officer of the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park at his workplace. It is impossible to overestimate the importance of the opinion of this organization’s leadership about our project – where SkyWay Innovation Center is located – because it has become a platform for the development of high technologies in the UAE. Innovations in the field of transport, information technology, power engineering, ecology and mechanical engineering are being developed on the territory of the Park. It has been created to ensure the country's prosperity in the future, for which the UAE leadership decided to lay the foundation of a highly productive knowledge-based economy at this site.

Despite the information that has recently appeared on the official website of EXPO 2020 about possible changes in the plans to hold this global event due to the coronavirus pandemic, there is optimism about further developments both in Sharjah, and in Minsk, because a plan B is outlined for this case. SkyWay Innovation Center is located near the venue of this world forum. It demonstrates not only the exhibits, but real, operating string transport and infrastructure complexes, which guarantees increased interest in this object and greater flow of visitors during the event, even if the timing is shifted, and the management of SkyWay project makes a final decision not to participate in the main program of EXPO 2020.

We offer to your attention an interview with Mr. Hussain al Mahmoudi, CEO of the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park, about the prospects for SkyWay project development in the Middle East, the construction of SkyWay Innovation Center in Sharjah and the upcoming world forum.
