Transport as Art

Transport as Art

20 February 2020

Judging by the number of publications that can be combined with the common theme “SkyWay as a source of inspiration”, our project – in addition to creating innovative transport and infrastructure complexes – has already become a unique socio-cultural phenomenon. Representatives of various sectors of society from both neighboring and distant countries, from European investors to emissaries of Japanese companies, are trying to “cling to the source”. And now it’s the turn for the people of art! We were approached by the Goethe Institute in Minsk – a cultural representation of Germany in Belarus, with a request to “visit SkyWay EcoTechnoPark by a joint Belarusian-German delegation to examine the innovative technologies presented in the Park”.

Naturally, Unitsky String Technologies Co. could not ignore such “wonderful impulses of the soul” and responded to the letter. The visit took place as part of a master class on modern drama, which was held in Minsk under the direction of theater author and director from Germany Michel Decar. It was attended by 7 young Belarusian playwrights who create works for the theater. Despite their age, several of them already have plays staged not only in Belarus, but also in Russia. We can say with good reason that they are the future of our theater.

Michel Decar has chosen “The Future” as the topic of the master class, intending to awaken the imagination in his students in order to figure out what kind of society people will live in, how they will communicate with each other, what they will produce, what their values and problems will be. As part of the lessons, he asked to make a tour into the future. According to the organizers of this event, they were looking for a future-oriented company or organization in Minsk or its surroundings, where people work with an idea of what our world will look like tomorrow, and they found out about Unitsky’s String transport and EcoTechnoPark from an Italian artist who visited it last summer: “He said that it was as if he had visited the future!”

The head of the master class assessed the excursion to SkyWay center of testing, demonstration and international certification as a source of inspiration for the authors of plays and as an impulse to expand their vision of the future.

This means that we have an addition to our ranks!
