Another Improvement of String Transport

Another Improvement of String Transport

15 October 2021

Investors of RSW Systems are well aware that the string technologies developer is constantly and actively looking for options to optimize its transport solutions – this is one of the main tasks that are being solved by the company's test and certification centres created in different climatic zones. Its official resources have recently posted information about the air suspension tests, shared by Vladimir Vyrvich, Design Engineer of the Chassis Design Office, and Ivan Romanenko, Head of the Configuration Design Office.

The goal is to improve passenger comfort

Both uCar unimobiles, which are operated in EcoTechnoPark, were originally equipped with a mechanical suspension, which allowed small vibrations and noise to penetrate into the passenger compartment through the wheels. Although these parameters were within normal limits, it was decided to improve the suspension for better passenger comfort, switching to pneumatic, which had already been installed on the uCont self-propelled chassis that showed excellent test results in Sharjah.

What is the bottom line?

The developer's specialists have already achieved a smooth ride, like in business-class cars, because the air suspension smoothes everything, even the smallest irregularities in the string track structure. The noise load on passengers has also been significantly reduced. This factor should not be underestimated: for example, in the Moscow metro one can be safe only for the first three seconds, and then it begins to destroy the body: an isolated and compressed space, the strongest noise and vibration are very harmful to people. In this regard, string transport is also an ideal alternative to existing and promising solutions.

The details of the introduction of air suspension into an operating machine without changing its design can be found in the original source.
