A well-known politician and founder of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) Vladimir Zhirinovskiy in a live broadcast of the state TV channel "Russia 24" spoke about the need to implement a transport system capable of linking the two parts of the world – Asia and Europe – into a single transport route.
Among the possible solutions, the politician has proposed the project of the SkyWay string transport system, which is developed by the SkyWay international group of companies. In his speech, Vladimir Zhirinovsky emphasized the independence of the SkyWay transport system from the terrain, as well as the SkyWay's ability to adapt to any environmental conditions.

LDPR representatives have repeatedly put forward the idea of introducing SkyWay technologies in the transport infrastructure of the Russian Federation. So, the candidate for mayor of Moscow Mikhail Degtyarev in his election program advocated the idea of the SkyWay linear cities: The candidate for mayor of Moscow from the LDPR Mikhail Degtyarev: "...Such a cluster approach to the construction of new cities where people will walk and move from cluster to cluster by means of the SkyWay transport".
