The Difference Between uSky and Other Types of Rail Transport

22 January 2022

Just a week ago, World Construction Today published an article in which string transport and infrastructure complexes were compared with a cable car. As you already know, these are two completely different transport systems that have only some external similarities. Then the authors thought, why not compare uSky with other modes of transport that have similar features? Based on data from open sources, it was compared with a monorail, maglev, tram, and metro.

The conclusions that surprised the employees of the publication, as evidenced by the question mark at the end of the title, are absolutely expected for us – RSW Systems investors, – who have been in the subject for a long time. The author of the material concluded that string rolling stock is superior to traditional modes of transport in many respects.

To quote the source: “Monorail, compared to string transport, is much slower and has a limited track. Maglev pays off for a long time and is much harder to integrate into urban infrastructure. A tram is operated by a person, does not have an isolated line for movement, and is characterized by a relatively low speed. The metro construction will be costly and time-consuming. In addition, this process is often coupled with road closures, which can lead to congestion. At the same time, metro is inferior to string transport in terms of speed and comparable to it in terms of carrying capacity. UST, Inc. rail electric vehicles are by many measures more efficient and economical than conventional modes of transport. They are mobile, fast, environmentally friendly, safe, and are not susceptible to accidents and traffic jams. Which of the modern modes of transport have all of these characteristics? The answer is obvious. We will not be surprised if string transport is actively introduced in different countries of the world in the next decade since its characteristics most fully meet the requirements of our time”.
