SkyWay Was Presented in Thailand

30 January 2018 6917

Bangkok, Thailand. The Asian market remains a priority for SkyWay and the technology is actively finding new partners now, after participating in major exhibitions in the region (Smart Cities India, RailwayTech) and commitments in India and Indonesia. Kiryl Badulin, Head of targeted projects Department at the Company-developer of SkyWay technologies, held its presentation at the conference of the Thailand Investment Forum.

The conference Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor Infrastructure Development Project  takes place on January 30-31, 2018. The agenda includes Thailand 4.0, the project of underground cities in Malaysia, Thailand’s cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and others.

Comments from the Head of targeted projects Department at SkyWay Technologies Co. Kiryl Badulin:

“To participate in the conference, Skyway Technologies Co. has done a lot of preparatory work. As a result, our display stand distinguished itself among the other participants and attracted everyone’s attention. Innovative SkyWay solutions for container transportation and seaports aroused the greatest interest among the participants of the conference.

The main subjects on the first day of the conference were the General concept of developing the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand, use of renewable energy sources, development of high-speed rail and port infrastructure, development of airport logistics, attraction of financing to realize infrastructure projects. Experts from Bangkok and Singapore delivered their reports on the subjects.

One of the most interesting speeches was the presentation by Oliver Redrup, Director for capital and infrastructure projects at PwC, Singapore, who shared the successful experience in the implementation of the project of high-speed railroads on the route Kuala Lumpur ― Singapore. A similar project can be implemented in Thailand on its basis.

I was also impressed by the presentation from Jeroen Overbeek from Singapore, a senior project Manager in the field of aviation and port infrastructure, Royal HaskoningDHV, on designing marine terminals taking into account their future needs. In his presentation he mentioned such innovative solutions for container haulage as Hyperloop and delivery of containers with drones, however, he noted the difficulties in their practical implementation at the present time. In this respect, the technology of container transportation from SkyWay looks much more perfect and feasible from a practical point of view.

I also paid special attention to the report of Dr. Jittichai Rujanakanoknand, Deputy Director, Transport Institute, Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok, Thailand). The report was on the development of aviation logistics and the creation of the project of Aerotropolis (an airport integrated with residential areas and industrial enterprises). The necessary conditions to implement this mega project is the creation of urban quarters and new jobs around the new airport, as well as reduction of time and cost of delivering goods and passengers by surface transport. It seems to us that the concept of linear cities and the construction of transport infrastructure at the second level would fit perfectly into the development of this project, which is of special importance for Thailand’s governmental agencies. During the discussion Dr. Rujanakanoknand expressed interest in further cooperation, interaction with him will continue.”

SkyWay Group of Companies also confirmed its participation in two major special events in Asia this spring: RailwayTech Indonesia on 22-24 March and Future Cities Show in Dubai, UAE, on 9-11 April.

RailwayTech is the most significant event for the regional rail transport market. After RailwayTech-2017 MoUs with “Jorong Port Development” and “Indonesia Infrastructire Society” were signed and a representative delegation visited the office of SkyWay design organization. JPD is interested in a 10-kilometer freight route located in a major port. Now SkyWay is already working in Indonesia on more than 10 projects with the total amount of 42.532.000.000 USD and the total distance of 4.167,93 km. SkyWay is supported by South Korean and Singaporean investors who are able to provide 75% of capital investment.

The show Future Cities in Dubai will feature the best of the innovations that could change the future of the planet. The show is based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals that were worked out by the United Nations and adopted by 193 countries of the world in 2015. It also includes 10 “X directives” for Dubai, an advanced the program, which aims to establish common rules in all state bodies and surpass the whole world by ten years. Three pillars of the philosophy of the event are Sustainability, Innovations and Happiness. In short, everything that SkyWay transport has combined in itself.
