It is very important to provide traffic between mountainous areas and the coastal zone, which will contribute to the development of rural tourism and the arrangement of an enogastronomic tour to improve the quality of services to cuisine lovers around the region of Calabria.

The meeting will be also attended by Cateno De Luca, Mayor of Messina; Salvatore Mondello, Deputy Mayor and Adviser for Infrastructure and Transport of the city, who also consider SkyWay technology for a new project in Messina, widely discussed in the recent election campaign.

Reference: National Park Aspromonte is located in the Italian Province of Calabria. Its territory includes the peaks of Aspromonte mountain range reaching a height of up to 2000 m. And the Mediterranean Sea laps gently at the foot of the mountains. Only here they grow a rare bergamot used in perfumery and production of the famous “Earl Grey” tea. The park has a rare ecological, historical, artistic and archaeological value, because its territory has been inhabited by different tribes from time immemorial, and the inhabitants of the settlements in the park have Greek roots. Since the times of antiquity, they have preserved a unique culture and traditions. Spectacular views of the Messina Strait between Calabria and Sicily open from the tops of the mountains in addition to the view of two seas at once – the Ionian and the Tyrrhenian that unite right here. Aspromonte’s territory is crossed with several waterways and is inhabited by many species of animals, which today makes SkyWay the best solution to both transportation and environmental problems of the national park.
