SkyWay ― Citius, Altius, Fortius!

SkyWay ― Citius, Altius, Fortius!

16 November 2016

This motto of the Olympic Games in Latin words, literally meaning "faster, higher, stronger", can be attributed to the SkyWay project: for those who know the subject, there is no need to explain why. Yesterday we met with a man who is the embodiment of this idea!

It should be noted that the level of achievements of personalities that support Yunitskiy’s SkyWay transport is constantly growing. Not so long ago we reported about the beginning of cooperation with the silver medalist of the world championship in natural bodybuilding Adrian Kormoczi. Yesterday Anatoly Yunitskiy was visited by an outstanding athlete-olympionic Vladislav Goncharov, who has won for Belarus the Olympic gold medal at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro!

The famous athlete is a partner of SkyWay for more than two years and stays up to date with the development of the project. The reason for his visit was the desire to meet personally with the General designer Anatoly Yunitskiy, to get a better understanding of the SkyWay technology, to learn about future plans (of course, primarily about the upcoming ride tests of rolling stock in EcoTechnoPark) and to express his support to the innovative development of the compatriot. Vladislav shares Yunitskiy’s goals and the desire to make the world better. In addition to sporting achievements he is also known for his active charity work.

To understand the importance of such figure as Vladislav Goncharov for Belarus, it is necessary to remind that the athletes of the country have won at the Olympics in 2016 in Brazil a total of nine medals: four silvers, four bronzes and only one gold, which is on the account of (and we say it with pride) a member of the SkyWay team! In the ending of competitions Vladislav fulfilled his program perfectly and surpassed strong Chinese athletes.

Anatoly Yunitskiy asked what path has led the famous guest to Olympic heights. Vladislav Goncharov said that now he was 20 years old. He is a native of Vitebsk, where at the age of six his parents sent him to gymnastics, in which the young athlete has not achieved much success, because he lacked flexibility. Then Vladislav tried jumping on the trampoline, which any child would like ― it is adrenaline and the feeling of flying! However, — admitted our guest, ― the coach’s insistence sometimes "strained", at times he even wanted to quit sports. After grueling training sessions he came home barely alive having no more strength left for anything else. However, sunrise – new eyes: the next day, after some rest, he hurried to the gym again.

On the way to the top Vladislav already had in his standings medals both in synchronous jumps, and in the team events. However, especially interesting is that the most notable success came after he joined the SkyWay project: he won the bronze medal at the World Championship 2014, in 2015 — the silver one, and in 2016 — the gold in Rio!

As you know, the founders of the Olympic movement – ancient Greeks – almost worshipped the olympionics. Together with the olive wreath and purple ribbons, the winner of the Olympic Games received universal recognition. Besides the fact that the athlete became one of the most respected people in the society, such victory would be a huge honor for the residents of his hometown! In addition, an olympionic was usually exempt from national service obligations, given other privileges, poets sang his name in odes and sculptors immortalized the champion’s image in bronze and marble. Thus, the ancient Greeks have preserved the names and images of their winners in the history of mankind for centuries.

Today SkyWay creates history. The names of those who contributed will also be permanently lodged in the memory of mankind. Undoubtedly, the name of olympionic Vladislav Goncharov will be among them. During the meeting Anatoly Yunitskiy presented a book about the history of Yunitskiy’s SkyWay transport and souvenirs to the famous SkyWay partner. He also invited Vladislav to visit EcoTechnoPark personally during the scheduled spring event ― the first official demonstration of SkyWay transport systems!
