One of the competitors for the SkyWay transport responded promptly to Australian news. The website of the business journal of the Russian Railways "RZD-Partner" posted an article "Australia may proceed with the construction of Skyway transport by the end of the year."
"The former CEO of the Department of transport in South Australia Rod Hook said that before the end of the year in Adelaide (Australia) they may begin building a line of SkyWay transport costing $13 million. R. Hook reported that the project has aroused considerable interest from the side of investors, and currently they have collected the funds sufficient for the construction of the 500-meter line. As the former official noted, this project should be the proof that SkyWay transport is more efficient than railroads, highways or tramlines. According to R. Hook, the construction of the SkyWay transport line will cost by 60% less than the creation of a tramline. Currently R. Hook′s Company is collecting documents necessary to start the construction."
Note: the journal "RZD-Partner", a business periodical of the Russian Railways, has been published since 1998. As the official website of the journal states, their priority is publications on rail freight traffic, "however, we try to cover a wide range of problems related to the functioning of the transport industry in Russia, CIS and Baltic countries.
Our mission is to meet the information needs of transport service users.
On the journal pages, we are discussing the most relevant problems for the functioning of the transport services market and help market participants to navigate in the events and trends".
