The Concept of the Future Transport in Moscow

The Concept of the Future Transport in Moscow

02 December 2022

Dear colleagues, we are sharing with you another piece of news from the developer of string technologies that the Moscow Transport Museum has presented a forecast for the development of key objects of the city's transport network as part of the project “Around Moscow City”. Computer-generated illustrations give an idea of how this city will change in the future if new transport technologies are introduced into its infrastructure.

The Moscow-City complex is located at the intersection of important transport arteries. Densely built up with skyscrapers, this transfer hub has encountered traffic problems that require a prompt solution. The exhibition of the Museum of Transport of Moscow demonstrates options for organizing transport systems for the Moscow City complex and other metropolitan hubs with heavy traffic, such as the Third Ring Road, the Dorogomilovsky highway bridge, and the Dorogomilovsky tunnel.

The visualizations presented at the Moscow exhibition trace the main trends in the development of large transport hubs in the future: freeing up space for landscaping, organizing pedestrian crossings, replacing bulky structures with lightweight options, and redistributing passenger traffic to several levels. According to the computer, the optimal solution to these problems is the use of overpass transport: the visualizations contain monorails, both mounted and suspended.

String technologies already correspond to this concept, organically fitting into the infrastructure of Moscow and at the same time meeting the main requirements (safety, environmental friendliness and accessibility). Along with the advantages of the project, known to all RSW Systems investors, the flexibility of building a string track structure consists in the possibility of laying transport communications over existing roads, power lines, residential and industrial development areas. The solution is based on the principle of careful integration into the environment. The construction does not interfere with the movement of ground and surface waters, and the natural landscape is preserved.

Read more about the possibilities of the technology in conditions of dense development in the original post on the official website of the project.
