A Glance from Great Britain

A Glance from Great Britain

25 May 2022

As reported by the Middle East company of the string transport developer, Dr. Lawson Mbugguss, Organization Railway Development Africa, a Railway Engineer, trainer, and lecturer in Railway Engineering from London, United Kingdom has cast a professional glance at string transport and infrastructure technology in Sharjah.

During his tour the British expert has witnessed an innovative and fully certified tropical pod, a suspended container carrier, a high-speed steel-wheeled electric vehicle, and learned the details about the production and operation of passenger and cargo rolling stock.

As an expert in his field, Dr. Lawson Mbugguss is actively interacting with the African Union involved in the development of railway infrastructure on the African continent covering over 58,000 km to link the African major cities and cross the continent from North to South and East to West. At this stage, a 12,000 km route is under consideration, which assumingly should be implemented before 2026. Within this infrastructure, the section of the railway in Nigeria running through Calabar, the capital of Cross River State and a port city of importance for freight traffic flows is of greatest interest. Dr. Lawson Mbugguss is optimistic that string transport and infrastructure technology could be an ideal alternative solution for the 80–100 km track.

Needless to say, that Dr. Lawson Mbugguss has highly appreciated the capabilities of the project and expressed his desire to make every effort to implement string transport on the African continent as soon as possible.
