Anatoly Yunitskiy about Company’s News and Incident at EcoTechnoPark

19 December 2017

SkyWay General Designer Anatoly Yunitskiy commented on the accident that occurred on-site EcoTechnoPark on December 15, 2017.

According to Anatoly Yunitskiy, currently the Company’s staff are doing everything necessary so that together with representatives of the Office of the State Committee of forensic examinations (OSCFE) for Minsk region to restore all the details of the accident and to minimize the possibility of similar situations in the future.

In addition, SkyWay General Designer shared details of his working trip that ended with the signing of an important agreement opening up great prospects for SkyWay technology.

“Dear friends!

Thank you for the support you expressed to our Company and me and in connection with the recent incident at EcoTechnoPark. Currently we, together with the Committee of Forensic Examinations and the Department of the State Labor Inspectorate, are clarifying all the details of what had happened.

The reasons for the incident are of external nature and not related to fundamental features of SkyWay systems. SkyWay did not let us down, people did. We are doing everything we can to reduce the possible negative consequences to a minimum. We continuously maintain contacts with the family of the driver who suffered. The vehicles will be restored.

The Company is developing steadily and approaching the New Year not empty-handed. Yesterday I returned from Arab Emirates, where we have signed a major agreement opening great prospects in this region for SkyWay string transport. The unplanned crash-test in Belarus did not scare our foreign partners at all; on the contrary, it became a proof of durability and reliability for the string-rail overpass and anti-derailment system of the “second level” transport. As a result of the collision, the tractor-loader has suffered catastrophic damages, whereas the unibus did not get away from the track structure. Then it headed to the station in self-propelled mode.

Before the clarification of all the circumstances, we should not multiply speculations and express ungrounded judgments. We should not feed trolls – let them feed themselves. Challenges make us stronger. As the proverb says, every cloud has a silver lining.
